Voltage was born out of The Band School which has recently joined forces with Band Dynamics in Littleton Colorado. Not even 13 years old, these three multi-instrumentalists have been working hard crafting their original songs since 2008. They are the proof in the pudding that today's kids need and love to make great music. Voltage could quite possibly be the new ambassadors for Denver's youngest aspiring musicians. Prepare to be zapped into submission by the powers of Voltage!
Greetings students and members of The Band School.
We are happy to announce that we have found the perfect new home for The Band School and our private students! Band Dynamics, based right here in Littleton, is just a stone's throw away, and a big step up.
It only took two years to grow out of our humble little studio. Now the bands and students will have multiple large spaces to learn, practice and perform in. There will be ample parking, a proper waiting area, and air conditioning. A special thanks to all the students that endured the past 2 summers without it! Of course we just kept telling them that real musicians sweat so get used to it. Still can't believe they fell for it!
There will be several specialized teachers available. Micah and I are multi-talented musicians (as you all now are), but we definitely have our weaknesses. Now students are free to study with a full-time drum teacher for example, for however long they want, and switch to a piano, guitar or horn teacher for an indefinite period. There are many options!
There will be more frequent performances (about every 6 weeks) which will provide the motivation to stay on track. Also, band members are encouraged (but not mandatory) to sit in with other groups so they are not always required to play with the same people playing the same songs. Variety is the spice! They also host an open house once a month - a chance for students to perform new songs, or songs they are working out on their own, and jam with other musicians of all skill levels.
We are so VERY proud of what our students have accomplished these past 2 years! They are performing and writing music far beyond their years. Another Formation has already played at the Gothic Theater! What is most exceptional is that most members of The Band School sing, compose, and perform regularly on at least 3 instruments in several different genres. We are confident that the Band School members will make an extraordinary contribution to Band Dynamics and the local music scene! We are also confident that Band Dynamics will help our bands and students go to the next level as musicians, song writers and recording artists.
